    The Kingfish Company has a new CFO

    Jean-Charles Valette has strong expertise in corporate finance, process optimization, and transformation.

    The Kingfish Company has appointed Jean-Charles Valette as Chief Financial Officer, effective September 1st, 2022. The proposal will take place at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM), to be held later this year.

    Previously, Valette worked as the Vice-President of Finance of Dott, a fast-growing scale-up. Also, he worked as Senior Vice-President of Finance for CEVA Logistics. Here he was directly involved in raising USD 1.2 billion through a successful IPO on the SIX Swiss stock exchange. Besides, he has strong expertise in corporate finance, process optimization, and transformation.

    As a result, Ohad Maiman, the CEO of stated: “I am very pleased to welcome Jean-Charles as our new CFO. He has a wealth of experience working with international teams and has lived in various countries across the world. His broad background will enable him to play a key role in driving our financial strategy and reinforcing our strong market position in the land-based aquaculture sector.”

    Above all, Valette confirmed the importance of this move: “The Kingfish Company is well positioned to grow its market leadership. Through a combination of continued cost discipline and a focus on further expansions, I am looking forward to contributing to the success of the company in the next phase of its growth plans.”

    Furthermore, the company reported an increase of 108% to €4.8 million in the second quarter of 2022. This corresponded to its high-value kingfish sales in Europe and the US.
