    Skretting and Next Tuna Collaborate

    Next Tuna, a start-up, and Skretting have joined forces to advance the production of juvenile Atlantic bluefin tuna through aquaculture systems. The global tuna market relies heavily on wild-catch fisheries, but they aim to change that by becoming the first company to complete the reproductive cycle of the Atlantic bluefin in a closed, commercially viable aquaculture system. The company is building a state-of-the-art land-based farm in Spain, where commercial production is expected to begin in 2024. “This partnership with Skretting takes the Next Tuna project to the next exciting level.
